The Skills Session

While each session will include focus on speaking skills, redos, and practice debates, sometimes students of all levels want to go "above and beyond" in order to enhance their in-round skills.  The Skills Session offers the unique opportunity to do just that.

The Skills Session is is a one-week extension offered to our 3-week participants and promises at least 18 debates.  In 2007, each team was given the opportunity to select its own coach from among our list of talented staff.  Each coach worked with 1 or 2 teams throughout the week.

The additional week of instruction will focus on practice speeches, rebuttal redos, speaking drills, and practice debates in order to adequately prepare students for the school year.  The unique approach to skill development offered during this session is certain to improve anyone's level of competitive success.

Past participants of this program will tell you it is one of the single most important debate workshops they ever attended. Consider that in one week of individualized instruction you will receive the equivalent of an entire semester of class time and competition.

Dates: July 12-19, 2008
Price: $900
