Two Week Program

Dates: June 20-July 3, 2010
Cost: $1600

In our 2 Week Labs, students are divided into labs divided based on age, skill, and years of experience. Our 2 week programs follow the same skills-focused model and philosophy as the remaining policy debate programs.

Our 2 Week Labs offer students access to the highest quality instruction available to help students succeed on a regional level in varsity CX debate, transition to varsity debate, or attend an institute for the first time. Many students have left the 2 week labs with goals of success at the TFA and UIL state tournaments.

In order to provide the instruction needed the most for students who typically attend our 2 week program, lab instructors will focus a great deal on skill building and theory development rather than research. While students will have access to all the workshop's files and will develop research in lab groups, the focus for these programs remains on teaching debate skills.

2 Week Instructors (alphabetically, lab pairings TBA):

Ernie Querido (U Miami)
Colin Quinn (North Texas, Glenbrook South)
Dan Rowe (North Texas, Austin High)
Jon Voss (Whitney Young)

Novice Lab:

Toby Whisenhunt (Highland Park)
& Chris Agee (Newman Smith)

The novice lab is for students with no prior debate experience.

Be sure to check out our staff bios for more information!
